Darby has worked in cultural resource management since 2010 and completed projects throughout Hawai‘i, American Sāmoa, Fiji, the Mariana Islands, and Tokelau. She has conducted inventory- and reconnaissance-level surveys, testing, mapping, data recovery, monitoring, and technical laboratory-based projects. Her professional experience also includes collection management, curation, and digital archiving. She specializes in zooarchaeological analysis, particularly fish vertebrate fauna.
