Alina Tichinin, M.A.

Bioarchaeologist

Alina received her B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology at California State University, Chico. She has eight years of experience in both archaeology and bioarchaeology on projects throughout California and Nevada, as well as in the Caribbean and the Pacific. She has a background in forensic anthropology and experience with the field recovery of human remains in clandestine graves within both medicolegal and humanitarian contexts. Her research interests include biocultural interpretation of stress and disease in past populations, and the application of archaeometry methods, such as stable isotope analysis, to expand anthropological analysis for the purposes of resolution of forensic cold cases.
